keel lifting crane

Postby jerome » Wed Mar 15, 2017 7:41 pm

Hey guys, I have been away for some (long time) and maybe i missed it in the forum.... I am looking for a keel lifting device, something that could be used while sailing raising or lowering the keel upon demand. The reason is I intend to sail in a lake that has some nasty shallow spots which worsen depending on the lake water level.
Using the boom or main halyard is simply impossible while sailing so I need some kind of external device that can be used during sailing and eventually stored away afterwards.
Any ideas ?

Phil describes a keel crane well in his build log at http://i550-381.blogspot.ca/search?upda ... date=false

There may be others ...
