All right guys, it's that time of the year to dust off those sails and hit the water ! We need race reports as quickly as you can post them. Let's win some !

Rocky, Are you in the water and are you driving up to the Delta Ditch Run? It is the closest i550 regatta this year to Tijuana. It is next weekend and would be a good chance to get information and interact with the west coast i550s in San Francisco.

Not in the water yet, I had some financial difficulties over the winter that slowed me down some. I want to do the ditch run next year, if my wife will let me, and I'm hoping to still be in the water before the summer's over. At this stage I'm jonesing pretty bad, and tired of sailing on OPB's. Just to let everyone know, my experience with prods was on a j 80 here in san diego. Fixed is simple. I'm going with the articulating prod, because that was the original design, but I'm already thinking I might change it out after the first year. We sail year-round here.

Finally back in the water. Raced last weekend for the first time this season. I had a new crew onboard so it was easier to hold her down. New spinnaker launch/retrieval sock performed well, very happy. Big weekend ahead, Bouy races Saturday and a 20 mile distance race on Sunday. Bonus is I get to do the twenty back to my home port on Monday and a overnight on board.

Crew for this weekend is questionable, going for it regardless.

Crew bailed out, family stuff. Forecast for light winds under 10's and high temps. Thinking about loading the large spinnaker, will make the choice Sunday morning. Normally I don't fly it by myself but in lighter stuff shouldn't be a problem. My first time at the largest distance race of the season here.
