Chad, I would like to order two medium t-shirts and donate $25.00 towards the class website.
One problem, the order site is only for U.S residents. How can we get around that small problem?
I would also like to put the boat name on the t-shirts.

Hi Marino,
Two ways to make this work-
1- you can order and pay for the shirts through the Booster website, using my address for shipping, and I'll cover the cost to forward them to you.
2- I can order them, and you can just PayPal me a reimbursement.

I checked a couple outfits that shipped internationally, but each had problems- expensive shirts, expensive shipping, etc. So I offered to be the grease to smooth out the international shipping...

I have some shirt printers locally that might be able to add a boat name, or you could source that on your end? The shirt company that's doing these shirts won't be able to do it, except as a separate, stand-alone order (which I can put together for you).

Get back to me with which way you want to go, and I'll make it happen!

Do they do hats too?

The parent company (customink.com) can do hats, but that's not part of this fundraising setup.
Once the shirt campaign is over -it only goes to April 19- I can send the graphic to whoever wants it for ordering other stuff (dry-shirts, hats, hoodies, etc).
I'd also be happy to put together a separate order of "other" stuff, if that's helpful.

Ing Thanks Chad, I'm thinking of crew shirts, so that means I'm gonna need at least 3 (make that 6). I'm going to have to split my order, though. Thanks for doing this for us!

Rocky, let me know if you want me to place an order for you- I don't recall if you have a US mailing address available.

Here's a day two update: we're at 16 shirts sold, and we need 20 to make the order go live. So we're close, and with most of April still to go that hurdle should be easy to meet.

A big thank you to all who have jumped in so soon, and I hope to run into many of you on the water this year, wearing "the cloth"!

Chad, I ordered a couple of shirts and am thinking of ordering two more. By the way unless someone else wants to order hats etc. I would like a copy of the logo to order some other items.

I sent you a copy, Noel.
For others, how's this:
if you order (or promise to order) a shirt through the offer above, I'll send along a copy of the graphic for you to use however you want.

Chad, bump my order to include one large t-shirt, and a copy of the graphic's.
The money-order will be in the mail next week.
Thanks for doing this for us.
The snow is melting, the days are getting warmer and it will be time to start work on the boat and post pictures.

Chad,
I placed a second order for the shirt, funny they said they could not combine shipping. Anyway thanks for the graphic.

Yeah, I'm paying 4 or 5 shipping fees as I've ordered stuff for various people. Oh well. When this "campaign" is over, we'll try to get feedback about how to do it better. Maybe it's easier to just take a bunch of orders, then get them all fulfilled together. This set up has pluses, and minuses, but I think it has worked well for most, so far.

The shirt offer ends April 19 at midnight, so order them while you can. Two more days!

I'm planning to attend "Sail Oklahoma" October 9-13 -well, most of those days. It caters to the home-build crowd, lots of PDers, some EC folks and other small boat endurance nuts, as well as small boat racers in self-built classes. I think. I've just looked at it a little and decided to go. There'll be something like a hundred self-built boats, everybody has a look at mine, sail on mine attitude, there's camping on the lawn or at a campground nearby, there'll be a half dozen small boat designers giving talks, lots of gathering around food, what sounds like a lowsy band, etc. A small boat slice of life...

I'd like to set up some kind of display to show what we're about. It'd be swell if I wasn't the only guy from the Class there, too.

Chad, would it be a big deal to redo the shirt graphic without the date? I am thinking of it as a potential decal, or even as a 'see-through' vinyl graphic on a truck window. If we were to redo the shirts, I wonder what the price differential would be for a long-sleeve tech-T. I rarely wear cotton any more.

Hi Warren, yes I think I still have the original file, and can pull the date out of it. I'll post it here when it's done.

Here's a pair of options. Simply deleting the '2014' date from the old one looked a little bland -that's choice 'a'. The other one is my attempt to add some color without changing the overall feel or the readability of the words.
