I made a bulb plug available for others to use, but last I heard Joe had killed it. I think Tim in Baltimore might have pulled a mold from it, and maybe still has that? The bulb plug took less than two hours to make, so don't be afraid to dive in and build one...

I don't know of anybody with keel blade tooling, if that's what you're looking for.
Good luck.

Noel, does this require your pin color be changed from blue to red? There are a number of plan holders in your area. If you can get them involved, do a group pour like we did. One day - Three builders - 650 lbs of lead – four bulbs. The extra bulb went to Matt for his build. We also have two sets of molds in the region for the next event.

At present I am working with some friends buiding a 16 runabout. When finished I will be using the same space for my build(this winter) .So in meantime starting to work on items not requiring lots of space. I have contacted one of the other plan owners but there was not a lot of positive interest in getting together.

Sounds like you qualify for Red dot status to me. Tim and Susan are the maintainers of the google map. Kevin.

Noel,
One Saturday morning, my son and I left the house at 4:30 and drove 325 miles to pour lead. After we cleaned up I drove the 4 hours back home with two bulbs and a set of molds. The SE did the pay it forward philosophy and now another build is working to increase the fleet in the SE. We will repeat this event again and I already know of a builder that could use a bulb. In the past nine months I’ve meet with 5 builders and have emailed a few more.

This is your chance to build the fleet. You have had one “no” and there are over 20 more plans sets within 200 miles. That is a great opportunity in a “target rich environment”. This is the group you will be racing with if they complete their boats. You can encourage them and take the lead. You can pour a bulb on your own, but this is a great event to build a fleet.

Some newer plan numbers from the map.

Hmmm....how did Viper Mast end up in the keel plug thread? I'll move it over to a new thread.
