Hiking straps

Postby jerome » Thu Aug 11, 2011 9:30 am

Hi all, just wanted to let you all know that İ got my custom hiking straps custom made in Brasil. The straps were made by a professional company specialized in making small windsurf and kitesurf straps. They were thrilled to develop something new.
The products look really cool, are very sturdy yet very comfortable (neoprene covered) and can pretty much be made to any size needed. The price in unbelievably low....and İ am sure it could be shipped anywhere in the world at almos no cost.
İ will try to post pictures asap although my wife took our camera away again ....

Cheers

Sounds like a great improvement over the nylon straps I installed. Sure would enjoy pictures and more information (when you get your camera back). Might be a good upgrade for next year. ;)

Everything is still a go to launch this Saturday. The list of last minute things to do is getting really short! :D

İ will try to take some pictures with my mobile phone. As always during the vacations, my wife took the only camera we have with her. She believes it is more important to take pictures of the family and the kids playing on the beach than of footstraps or a nicely installed compression post....What does she know..! ;)

Great news! Are you going to splash this fall? Looking forward to seeing it in the water. No huge hurry on the strap pictures, just something I would like to change for next season. Haven't spent any money on the boat in a month, feels like something is wrong.

Hi Jon and whoever else is interested in cool straps. Here are 2 pictures. More can be seen on my blog at

Feel free to shoot any questions you might have, I will answer them all.

As far as splasing, you bet I will do it this year ! The mast is also ready so I just have to get the sails cut. Will splash even under snow....

Have a great one !

I received the semi rigid straps from Marco at Windbra yesterday. They did a great job and looks like just what I was looking for. Just another international part incorporated into the build. Highly recommend :D

Pictures as promised! The straps haven't totaly layed down yet from the shippping. I'm Still happy with the product and not having to reach down when I want a strap over my foot (Which normally happens when both hands are busy doing something else) will be a great improvement over last year.

Installed in the boat pictures next spring when the Twist is thawed out and the snow and ice is gone.
