Foils for sale at cost

Postby BillZ » Mon Oct 01, 2012 11:31 pm

Greetings. I started a build and made the foils first, and now have decided not to build. The keel is NACA 12, made to plan, and 8" longer than the short cockpit keel. It is laminated, faired, and sanded, but not sheathed in glass. The rudder is a NACA 10 section, slightly longer than stock, and has been sheathed in 2 10 oz layers of 2x2 twill glass cloth. It requires fairing and painting. Both foils are made of ripped and crossed strips of white oak, adhered with epoxy. The keel has a center strip of cloth and filler between oak laminations, and 2 5/16" dia B7 hardened 316 ss threads running through the length of the foil. I would be happy to part with them for cost. They are in Los Angeles. Anyone interested?

I'd Be interested in the rudder only, depending on the cost to send it to Virginia. -Tim

I am still interested in the keel if you can find a way to ship it less expensively. My budget is under $200.00
