The bottom and sides are rough faired but not epoxy sealed. But once again thank you for the info.

If the wood is raw underneath, then a portion of the resin gets pulled from the glass, sometimes leaving the cloth a little dry. With peel ply, there's a sort of reservoir of excess resin in the peel ply fabric which can offset this- this has been my observation, but I haven't seen it endorsed by any authoritative source. Safest bet is to wet the wood first, and then have an organized way of neatly placing and unrolling the glass (carbon) so that minimal handling and realigning is required.

I agree with Chad. also do a dry fit the pieces and if you need registration marks for reference use a marks-a-lot type pen. On Carbon cloth maybe it won't show though??
