Thanks!

Added nonskid today, a couple more strings (!), and test hoisted the jib (couple pics added to the picasa site, linked from the blog). Then a huge downpour and thunderstorm rolled through, cutting short my sail hoisting. Main goes up in the next lull...

More lines to splice tonight, and put on the boat tomorrow.
Might go out tomorrow afternoon if weather permits, if not then Saturday.

Went sailing on Sunday, jib-only due to skyed main halyard and frayed nerves of family by that point. First trailer launch had a bit of learning curve to get through- next time I'll go alone an hour ahead of time! Nice to get on the water though, finally.

The boat will go upwind with just a jib, but you need to build speed first. The wake left the transom a couple times in the puffs, so there's some grunt in the jib!

Chad,
Congratulations! I really like the photo too! Good job on whatching out for the frayed nerves. I know my family's nerves are going short with the length of time I'm taking.
