Trying to figure out what to do with my boat. Life has unfortunately gotten in the way for me on this project. I am living in Rhode Island now and the boat is still in northern NY.
So im wondering what my options are. Looking to see if anyone is interested in purchasing the boat or if someone wants to take over and split ownership let me know maybe we can work something out.
I unfortunately am trying to do the grown up thing and purchase a house and all of these grown up things
so i just have no money to finish the boat. I dont want to see it rot away sitting outside with no protection.

How far along are you with your build? What would it take to get it ready to travel?

Craig, wish I had kept a list of all the folks who have asked me if there was a boat for sale, in the past 3 years. Seems like a lot of folks think they may want an i550, but don't want to build one. (hence Geoff's canadian go at producing molds, I guess).
At any rate, if you want to sell it, next time someone asks, I'll jot it down and send you contact info. Seems a shame to sell it though...can't you find a cheap place to house it anywhere near Nwpt?

Craig, What do you need to get $$$ for the boat?

As the boat sits its ready for interior paint and the decks to be glued down. Bulb and keel are more or less done just need to be attached and polished up. Then of course all the hardware mast and sails.
Noemar. Not sure does anybody have an idea on what something like this is worth?

MCSAILOR, Craigs was a well thought out build, and I expected an exceptional boat from it. I was also hoping to see what his beer count would have been at the end of the build. I see on your SA profile you like beer,,,, maybe you could keep the count going!

HA! Is the beer count for the build only? I tend to drink more when I'm sailing then working!

Hey Cstay,
Again I am interested in talking to you about your boat.
The i550's have always interested me, and I just missed out on a super cheap one down in FL. Now I've got the bug... I am no stranger to boat work, as I have rebuilt/refit 3 keel boats, and a laser. My intentions would be to performance cruise in the midwest along with some club racing. Then eventually make it back to the PNW for some 'one-design'.
Shoot me an email, I can't seem to send any PM's through this website.
Awesome blog btw...
