Teak - sticks to epoxy?

Postby admin » Tue Dec 06, 2016 10:24 pm

I got a big chunk of teak for free. Question: how does epoxy bond with this stuff? Other than cleaning the handrails on my old Catalina, I've never really done much with the stuff.

I want to use this teak to make new, larger, keel foil guides similar to Loh's. See diagram:

WEST GFlex 650. It's claimed to stick to oily timber.

Thanks fellows. Someone else recommend System Three G-2, which I believe is their equivalent to West G-Flex (which I have already)

I'll give the G Flex a try I guess, although our old pal Mawney Motorsports says don't use teak....use plastic!
