Just browsing around and came across this, posted yesterday:
In an unanticipated and under prepared act of idiocy Watershed Sailboats has filled a 40 foot container with flat pack kits. There are about (we don't know because of the one beer per kit while loading rule) 125 or so kits in there. When we get the bill from the plywood jobber then we will know for sure.
There is a pool of hyd. fluid from the first forklift they sent.
But wait there's more; Volume discounts
And that's not all; for each kit sold I will call you at 3:30 a.m. your local Time to say thanks.
T
So in typical
fashion I can't quite make out what's being said, but it sounds like Watershed had another company cut 125-ish kits for somebody? Yowza.
From
here.

I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. But if it's more i550s sailing then I think I should be happy about that.

As I sit here and do the math, I realize the day before yesterday was April 1.
As you were. False alarm. Just my density, showing.

Really, that's how you run a company and build a class. By thinking up totally bizarre 4/1 jokes. Great leadership. Moving on here....

Hey if Scot Tempesta can run away to Utah on Ape Fool Day, Timber & co can shirley ship 125 iKits to Zanzibar. I mean, come on!

Oh, and I care about what Scot does too. I love how people want to control how one participates in anarchy. That seems to be a contradiction to me.
Cheers, Kevin.

I am glad someone figured out the kits-in-a-container thing, had me a bit worried.
next offer is depleeted uranium for ballast. Tungsten is too tough to melt.

I'm in also, think it will make the lure bulb glow at night? That would be sweet.

I'll pass on the radioactive materials, thanks anyway. I'm also thinking the homeland security might have an issue with me transporting the boat around the greater Chicago area. I guess we'll need a geiger counter to test for any material heavier than lead in those bulbs before we both weighing them. I'll make a note for the measurer.

Joe had a real tough time with the carbon rig thing...can you imagine his response to a $200K, U-238 keel bulb the size of a zucchini?

don't sweat it, wouldn't pass class rules. That does give new meaning to the term "arms race" when it comes to home built sail boats.
