Camping in an I550

We are sailing to Mud Island (close bay island only an hour or so to get to from our club) tomorrow as I'm starting to go a little nuts from not getting a good sail in for over a month.
Donna & I will be 'camping' on/in Shazza tomorrow night, rain hail or shine we will be sleeping on Shazza Friday night and will let all know how comfy we were able to make it. We will be 'camping' in the marina if necessary to make this happen and give some feed-back as it has been blowing a consistent 15-20 knots for the past week and is expected to stay that way into mid next week when I have to go back to work.

I've got most everything I think I need together for an camping overnight tomorrow. Plan on a nice little sail to a cove on the North side of Wildhorse Island and anchoring out. First time and long overdue.

As things often do, plans changed in the last minutes. All was good until I checked the forecast for Saturday night and more importantly Sunday morning. A small northern comming down and winds clocking NNE, 10-15's. That is the only direction the anchorage is open to. After visiting with some friends who told me that it isn't much fun there with North winds blowing. I decided to go for a sail which was great, then came back to the dock and camped there. Happy I did as the wind did shift and build and I didn't have to wonder if the anchor was holding on a very dark night.

I did get to check out the camping and convinces I brought abord. Plenty of room in the cabin, I've spent nights in tents with less room. I didn't bring enough foam to sleep on so spent most of the early morning trying to find that more comfortable spot and listing to the wind and waves. The small grill I brought, worked great and I even made some coffee. Plans now are to give it another try next Saturday. Hopefully the weather will be better then.

Please show photo(s) how you make coffee (or cook a cup of instant noodle) on the i550.
Very important.
Ability to cook onboard can avert a mutiny...

Actually just a simple small propane grill that has two covers one for grilling and one for pans or coffee pots. It all folds up to about half the size for storing.
