1:10 Model

Hi! I'm Mayo the owner of the n°562, before building I start with a model 1:10 scale of the boat cut with laser.

Thanks! the material is 3 mm marine plywood (is very duty), I've used steam to curve the wood...
No problem for cutting another (and other...) but my model is 60 cm because i've stretched the boat from 5,5 to 6 m (20 feet) otherwise I can't participate to the competition.

Hi Mayo,apologies for the obscure reference. If you go to

you'll see what I mean. Early builders of the i550 ran into an issue where the topside panel would not comform to the frame at 58"....I think it's 58 (or 54...can't remember) at any rate, I fixed the situation by sistering on a curved piece of plywood to fill in that gap. It looks like the same gap shows up on your 1/10ths model.

......cool!...do you plan for the extra 2' to be removable for racing other 550's?

if the 6 - 9 meter SB thing kicks in here on the bay, I may be building the Chad -design 0.22 inch extension myself....
