Hey Folks! I thought I'd crash in on the Chesapeake Light Craft, OkoumeFest this weekend. Friday is a day of seminars at the CLC facility in Annapolis, Saturday is an on the water display of all boats made of Okoume at Metapeake state park on the Chesapeake Bay. I really don't know if the i550 will fit into (or will be welcome) at this event, but I thought I'd show some of the wooden kayak builders that its ok to think about bigger and faster designs. We'll see what comes of it. Wish me luck!

Way to go, Tim! What time do you think you'll be at Metapeake? I'd love to toodle on over the bridge and see you and the boat!

Actually, I'm camping at the park Friday night. I could really use the help setting up and launching as I'm doing this trip solo. No pressure, I'm certain there will be helpful folks hanging around the park. I'm sure I'll be in the water by 10:00 ish.

Sorry, Tim, I am tied up in the morning with stuff I've neglected over the past 2-3 weeks. Not even sure I can make it at all now, family health issue with an elderly relative. Have fun and take some photos!

No problem, I'm going to have quite a breeze tomorrow. The group of folks here are.very welcoming! Two of them live less then 4 miles from me. I'd would've never met them unless I drove 4 1/2 hours to this event. I had along talk with president of forte spars. He's interested in designing a rig of the i550. I'll get a few photos tomorrow for you TF.
