I wonder it any body has set up photos or drawings for a Viper mast ?
Also I would be interested in a used set of sails , or just a jib ,asymmetrical kite .

Thomas, somewhere on this site, or on the i550 Sportboat Facebook page, Marino Zorz describes converting a Viper mast. Mist may also be using a Viper mast, if not a Dwyer.

Marino looked at Black Sheep's #29 viper mast, but I do not know if he picked it up. Mist can fill in the details, but he is using a Dwyer DM-5 stick and has a CF mast from an M20. I have a Viper mast and I've attached a layout drawing. The mast, boom and stays weigh in at 54 lbs. My spreadsheet needs to be reviewed again, but if you keel step the mast you need to cut off 4-6". Deck and cabin top stepped you need to measure you boat.

I still have the viper mast and the sails that came with it. The inner section of tubing was somewhat easy to remove. Wanted to convert it into a double spreader system. Took a few pictures as to the setup, showing how I removed the inner sleeve. Because I plan on purchasing new sails, i decided to obtain a new mast and boom setup from VELOCITY BOATWORKS. The viper mast is available for sale.

It's Hot 90 degree daily , I have a horsefly pandemic in my shop 20 or more at the time attacking me while I try to glue with no shirt on .Finally got some spray .
The decks are glued, classed . fared , Carbon on the cockpit floor and the side decks .Today I glassed the back of the cabin trunk ,done Yeah.This weekend I will start priming .
Also found a set of used sail sails and some fittings for the deck .Got to order rigging wire before the tariffs go up 25% , and get the trailer ready .

2 coats of primer are applied , main sheet and center board up down block support built, now its time to get the trailer ready and the boat out of the garage . 3 month ago I started, what a great idea!!!

Sail up for the first time ,getting closer to launch . I am going to sew a full boat cover before I take her to the lake . It has been raining hard every day here .

We got a name and a boat cover , it was harder to sew that cover then building the boat !!! Got five things on the list to finish before launch, hoping August 18th 2018 .

CONGRATS! Wow, 5 months and 2 days...that's GOTTA be a record! Amazing (and it looks great) ...how did the centerboard work out?

Today we went sailing in a 5-10 mph breeze . My wife and I with a combined 300lb weight . The boat healed fast but settled in on the chine ,never dipped the rail . At first we hiked a lot but got used to the heal and let her sail. She was quick
to cross the lake and had a rumble under bow . The centerboard has no ballast floating neutral I have to use a down haul to keep it down . We had a" Santana 20 " follow us but made distance on her.
. With the wind up and down it was a lot of moving in and out of the cockpit floor . Next time a little more wind another crew and we will try the kite .
